gate a was the infamous meeting area of all the teens and young adults at said district convention when i was young.
i'm sure there is still such a meeting place at conventions,but i am not wise to it,since i am no longer a part of that "generation",hahaha.. but,yes,it was fun,you could be sure to know where your friends were,and especially where your latest crush was going to be.
but,for some reason it didn't sit well with the brothers in charge.
I knew of things like these but was never invited/included; I hate how much I missed growing up a people pleasing dub.
Things like what you mentioned still go on, and the high seats are great for goofing off and sleeping during the sessions too.
BTW: If the JW religion were a band they'd be called Jayhoover and The Kill Joys.
i got a text message from a jw, she just send me a picture of a white bearded man with xx beer on the table.

it's beginning to annoy me when people send me text messages and e-mails of this sort.
it's even more annoying when it comes from people who i primarily associated with while i was still active, but who i haven't heard a word from since i quit going to meetings a couple months ago.
most of these people live less than five minutes from me and would be welcome at my house anytime.

I've always felt the concept of prayer was pretty ridiculous.
worst - religion/ists (pharisees, sanhedrin/gb, ruling religious clergy class).
best - direct from the source (our heavenly father, his son, the holy spirit, john 14:26; 15:26; 16:13; 1 john 2:27) by pursuing their full and counterintuitive "unabridged gospel" message to all humans (rom 10:16,17; isa 61:1; john 8:36).. next best - spiritually strong persons of faith (acts 8:12,26-40, especially verse 35).
